Ok, I'm here again.

In true university fashion, I'm avoiding work by blogging!
Alternatively, I've been hitting the gym my last three nights.
But at last, this work log is due tomorrow and I've had to sit at home, think hard and type, shaking my leg as a mild form of exercise.
At least now I've grown used to days of only work and exercise and an hour (or two) of rest before bed.

But is it normal to miss another country this much?
I mean it's been 2 weeks and whenever I think of Japan, my heart sinks a little bit inside.
You could call it a holiday, but seriously...I don't remember being like this with Israel.
I think I got over my "post-holiday blues" for Israel within days.
This, on the other hand is in fact mildly annoying; especially when I don't know when I can go back (though I really want it to be next year).
In the meantime, youTube videos by people living in Japan and practicing my Japanese language skills on my parents will have to suffice.

Thank God that a change in the office has renewed my perspective of work.
As I'm now sitting in a different bay, working on a 4 star hotel project, and getting hints of commendation from my new architect, I think I might just be able to take another 5 weeks in Theale.
What's more, today I was snatched away for some graphic design work that urgently needed doing, as I'm the only other person in the office who knows inDesign well enough.
At the end of the day, when I declared the job done, again I sensed mild praise; in the form of a surprised tone of voice asking me to print out 3 copies for the on-going meeting.
Graphic design truly makes the day pass faster.

As I try and not panic about the list of work lined up for me before I disappear, YH puts up with my daily emails reminiscing of my great adventures in Japan...
But with America in 6 weeks, who's to say I'm not going to miss that country when I leave it~
and as I get messages from my Japanese friend at midnight (Japan time) saying he's just leaving work, I recall that wonderful saying "Be careful what you wish for."
