Trading My Sorrows

I woke up to the sound of 'Get A Move On' by Mr Scruff.
A quick breakfast and I was out the door, on my way to leisurely plot at the studio.
Or so I thought!
I got there and couldn't use the diploma plotter as they said they had a deadline tomorrow and would need to plot all day and tomorrow.
Slightly disappointed, I checked out the lone plotter serving the whole degree course.
There was a long long queue for it, and our deadline is Sunday!

I tried to work my way round this issue, by walking all the way to campus to see if I could use the Engineering department's plotter.
The technician, as I learned, was on holiday and would only be back on Monday. O_o

More disheartened, I walked back to the studio.
The wind was blowing strong today, and as I reached into my bag to get my new lipbalm, my butterfingers dropped the glass container on the stone paving.
I picked it up, as I grew more wet from the spitting drizzle.

As soon as I found myself heading down the road of self-pity, I smiled.
Jesus is with me, and He's the happiest guy around ever.
There are worst things than long plot queues and broken glass.
When I reached back, I discovered gold - the diploma plotter sitting unused.
I jumped at the chance and managed to print everything off at one go.
Thankfully I'd brought along lunch and could hold out all the way 'til dinner when I printed my last sheet!
To those who have prayed for my speedy recovery and that I'll work efficiently, thank you; your prayers have been answered.

Why do we so easily ask "Why me?!" when things are going bad, but hardly stop and ask the same question when we get good things from above.
