Since no one else wants to...

haiyah~!
there's nothing for me to read, as I look around the dust harvesting blogs of friends back home and overseas.
So I decided to take action, as I know people are busy doing everything they think they have to/really have to.
Today is monday and the rain has been sprinkling as if the angels in heaven were playing with the rain-button.
I had my new (£2.50) shades on this morning, just because it was vaguely sunny.
And now i'm back in my cosy student room, looking over a drippy grey town with jazz and piano tunes accompanying the background noise of the carpark downstairs.

I'm supposed to be writing an essay that is a critique of an architectural report on the future of the Architects' Profession.
I guess it's hard to have a strong stance on something i'm not completely passionate about, so this is proving rather difficult because I doubt being an architect is going to be dictating my entire future.
But I must press on, as this could really affect my future somehow; and I need to be educated in this trade.

Amidst the pressures of all the work lingering down my road ahead, I managed to bake a little chocolate cake today.
And last week I risked killing one of my favourite skirts~!
By dyeing it.

You can tell it was crying out for a make over as the colour was fading with all the summer sun I'd subjected it to.

It was a kind of green when I bought it, which didn't make it look khaki.
And It probably looks best being green, so I went down to the only store in town that had a broad enough range of fabric dyes.

The cold dye was the winner because I couldn't imagine having a pot big enough to boil my skirt in. And this green was nice, well I was hoping It would be despite its name: Tartan Green. O_o

I got down on my knees and splish splash splosh for the first 10minutes.
I wanted to get my money's worth, so I left it in well over the recommended time of 1 hour.
I went to the gym, went into town and came home excited.
It seemed to turn out with a green I happen to like so *phew
Only mistake was ignoring the advice on stirring the mixture in regular intervals.
As a result, I've got slight slight patchy-ness where the skirt was not fully submerged or the cloth was folded against itself. (tie-dye effect)
I was a bit silly for being lazy with something like this, but that's jem for you.

In the end, I convinced myself It wasn't so bad.
And I can wear it for work~!
whoohoo...so learn from my mistake and follow instructions closely when dyeing your favourite garments ladies/or gents.

Well, I'm tired of sitting still here.
I'm gonna ignore the rain and go into town anyway to have a look-see.
