Dads and Notebooks

i love how i'm kept in the loop by someone simply sharing their life blog style.
i may not always be welcome, but hey.
thus, the birth of this post.
to thank all those who've bore their souls at my expense.
is that right english?

so yesterday my 200Gig Ext HardDrive made me one happy bunny.
i never saw myself come to this: getting excited over technical equipment.
happily and much relieved, i backed up my highly unstable notebk.
all set for this morning's trip to the geek shop, for my laptops brain surgery.
so i was told to get £20 ready.
i arrive 0950hrs, to join the club of senior-citizens waiting for the doors to open at 10.
i'm just glad i decided to arrive later in the morning, only reading the opening hours when i arrived this morning, laptop hanging round my neck.

they were busy complaining about the doors being opened late.
i was just happy that my notebk was going to get healed.
until i walked up to the counter, meeting the same guy previously.
it's only now that he chooses to tell me there's a 10-14day waiting list.
*smacks head*
my notebk would have to sit literally in a queue, before a quick 2 minute job could be done.
just to make it sound better, the lady nearby said i could fast track (jumping the queue) for an extra £15. 0_o!!!
£35 (approx. S$100) to physically replace hard drives?
my dad decided to risk it, leaving the job to me!
me typing this post, should be evidence enough that i didn't fry my motherboard.
*hoorayh*
