Eve of NDP

National Day in Singapore has always had an effect on my family.
i can't help but pity the people that it means nothing to.
imagine our country being run by the Brits?

though we can't be on the island, we will be there in heart.
we've even made plans to log onto the live online telecast early
so that we can chop (reserve) bandwidth before everyone else logs on.
we learnt our lesson years ago when all we received where step images changing every few seconds.
i may not have sang the anthem in time, but at least i remembered it.

As a young designer, endless pages of writing (books) has never appealed to me.
so today i accomplished something worth mentioning.
i finished a book with 11 chapters in the afternoon and evening.
Taming The Tiger by Tony Anthony, is the most captivating book i've read yet.
and this is a girl who doesn't like reading, and is slow at it too.
his story of being trained into a Kung Fu World Champion in China, being in prison bashing people's faces in, to finally settling down in Essex with himself and wife both christians; is more than what my sentence can shadow.

i thank God that He's real, and not some god i bow down and pray to.
that He's touched another human being i haven't even met, and in turn that human has touched me.
He's brought a fresh meaning to my life again.

whispers: God, You're just amazing!

i highly commend the book to you, get it if u can!
