Having abandoned this space for a necessary amount of time, it'd be a crime if i left the start of this year unnoted.
I will give my best to keeping this brief, abstaining from growing a bedtime story of the year 2004.

I suppose i should address why i've been seemingly dead over the last couple of weeks.
well, the holidays have been surprisingly bittersweet.
i talk of them as if they've been over and done with because i feel it's been bittersweet enough for me to cut it abruptly in my mind.
to kick my work mode up the ass and prematurely return to plymouth.
isn't it disappointing when you wait for something so fiercely that when it finally comes, it's value completely disappears and you wonder why you longed for it in the first place.

Shockingly, i kept my 2004 resolutions, which has given me hope that maybe i'll be able to keep them again this 2005 year.
2004 was good and i have the ickliest of hopes that maybe 2005 will top it.
maybe it's just the number 5 in 2005.
doesn't it give you a better feeling, even just looking at it?

maybe just me.

i'm most ashamed to confess that the first day of my new year has been spent infront of the tv being "entertained" by show after show of british television, majority of them american movies. ironic huh.

forgive me if i abscond again.
