Lacy Thong vs Cotton Underwear

i went in search of lacy underwear today.
well, for myself but more importantly my mum.
i figured that she needed a little pampering this Christmas.
and since she never buys anything fancy for herself, that's my job.

having had to return 2 lacy pairs to Topshop
(thanks to no elastic evident in the design!!?)
i streamed into Peacocks subconsciously.
Topshop designers must have been expecting you to fit very very snugly.
here at Peacocks, i found sizes 10/12/14/16/18/20 with ease.
my mum likes to feel comfortable with every single thing she wears.
that should say enough about the sizes i sifted through.
colour-coding didn't help one bit.
was concentrating more on the changing designs every 2-3 hangers.

half an hour must have gone by before i had a 2nd look through all the designs (yes again)
i had hardly anything to choose from since most were thongs or Bridget Jones undies.
after losing track of time completely, headed to the cashier with XXXXX
(censorship in case my mum reads this)
all i can say is, it was a safe choice, a very safe choice.

and that got me thinking.
about all the 13 yrs upward English girls who put up with itchy 24/7 wedgy-giving underwear
just because they've read how much males love seeing lacy underwear on females in some teen magazine.
i've decided to go against the flow (with my mum?) and keep with my comfy womfy 100% cotton Topshop undies.
when a guy needs to see it, hopefully i'll be married by then.
and besides, it's not like the underwear is going to stay on for long is it now?

*chuckles*
