something i forgot to mention yesterday was my good deed of the day.
people living in my hall wouldn't beg to argue that our building is pretty unfriendly.
you walk around and it's just like people living in a Singapore HDB flat.
everyone getting on with their own business, like talk to me and i'll run away.

so yesterday in the lift...
me: erh what floor, 3?
girl: ah yeah.
*pause*
me: erm, where are you from?
girl: china
me: oh right.
[lift reaches 3rd floor in 3secs]
lift voice: doors opening
me: so this is your first year in UK? or...
girl: no this 2nd year
me: oh ok...
girl: i spend last year foundation course.
me: oh studying english?
girl: erh yes.

the simple act of bothering to make simple conversation with a timid chinese girl grew into a (enthusiastic chinese accent) "very nice to meet you"
i was basically her life saver.
without hesitation she told me how lonely she was...
and several other things she's struggling with in a very cheena accent, bless her.
so i told her to come a knocking whenever she wanted or if she needed help with anything.
and i felt bad more than good about myself, primarily because all this time i had been complaining about how lonely i was when i have family and friends near me in comparison to chinese girl, Grace.
it just shook me with both hands to how blessed i was and how spoilt i was acting.

but please, that's far from any hint to ignore me.
i still need you guys.

you know who you are...
