Shoeless Girl dashing about corridoors

Today i was blessed enough to have a late class at 12.
so in full holiday style, took my time having breakfast, this and that you know...
until i hear the doorbell.
"could it be one of the many books i've ordered from Amazon already here?"
opening up to be greeted by a friendly UPS man, i wondered if someone had sent me like a bunch of flowers, belated birthday gift or something; wishful thinking really.
"erm do you happen to know someone in the neighbouring room called grace?"
(remember the china girl i mentioned earlier? yeah her!)
"oh yeah! i know grace!"
"well i've got a parcel,"
*pointing across the hall to a huge box*
"and i don't think anyone's in. no one's answering the door. so could i leave it with you?"
"Oh yeah...lemme just help you ca..."
*door shuts behind jem*
walking to the parcel, he said "oh it's not heavy...i'll do it"
so i walk quickly back thinking i'd open the door before he got back to leave the parcel in our flat.
feeling the door in a miming action, it hit me.
"i left my keys in my room!" i remarked to the ups man.
"Ohhh dear..."

i stood there barefoot, dressed (thankfully), hair just tied up minutes ago.
helpless as a hole.
i felt almost naked without my phone and keys.
the next scene was a barefoot girl dashing about, up and down the lift, and finally arriving at the student-on-duty's room 402.
we joked about how i got locked out as we headed to my room and she released me back to my home in a jiffy.

and to make my day all better, i was late for class and it started pouring the moment i stepped out the building.
*proud smile*

so to make my day a bit special.
i made a proper cheesecake today...
crunchy base, custard, cheesake topped with a layer of lemon curd.
Oh yummy yum.
freezing it i felt would be a good idea because
1. it will keep til my lovely family arrives on wednesday for me to share my "baking" with
2. it'll stop me from munching on it between now and then.

on the contrary, i almost flooded my toilet again thanks to the overflowing shower 'pond'
had no choice but to pop my gloves on and get down on my knees.
shall spare you the details of "things" i found.
all to say is that i'm amazed i still have quite a full head of hair on me.
but i hope the hard work and my holding back of puke, will pay off.
shall report after my next shower tommorow.

one final thing to mention before i go.
i've started my drafting lessons today so i'm finally experiencing the joy and reason for my wanting to become an architect after all these years.
but o boy is it scary.
one mistake and START ALL OVER jem.
*cringe*

here i am with my greaseproof paper, dirty black rubber in hand.
so much for all the glamour i anticipated this job to hold.
