________________________________________________________________

last night came sooner than i'd expected.
remember that singing thang i mentioned like eons ago.
it happened last night actually.
and thank God my hoarsey sick voice didn't exactly affect my performance
except aid me in singing a few low notes
or so i think.

everything seemed to be going too smoothly for its own good.
we arrived 2 hours early! kudos to pa *rolls eyes*
wanting to set everything up and test.
but i knew something wrong had to happen.
things never go this smoothly.
then 1/2 an hour before the concert starts.
we realise we've got the wrong MD.
*slaps forehead*

but it's not too bad since i only come on after the interval.
but my mom isn't pleased.
well if something had to go wrong...at least this was it.
and even then...it wasn't such a bad thing.

so i arrive back, peering through to window.
i cast my eyes over a half full/empty hall.
there's only 34-ish old-ish people.
and i'm like "this is GREAT! just GREAT!!!"
i strain not to think what their reactions will be when i belt out my fast-ish song by Stacie Orrico.

the first song was alright because it was with the band and actually went better than expected.
but the 2nd one went badly in my opinion.
i had the biggest struggle of my life, trying to smile and sing...
at people staring at you like they're on the verge of dying.
i barely caught (only) ONE elderly man tapping his foot for a brief moment.
i braced myself for a weak applause which came soon after.
but i couldn't think whether it was due to the small crowd of weak beings or my poor performance.

at the end. i tried to avoid eye contact with anyone.
if you dont know, it wont hurt.
but as i wind up endless wires, one after another, sweet old ladies (and men) come forward and tell me how well i did, and how much they liked and enjoyed it.
*wipes forehead flicking sweat away*
i gave the same reply to each one, not knowing what else to say.
but one lady did mention something a little offbeat.
she said i looked really "happy" while i was singing.
*frowns to herself...ponders as to how to receive such a comment*

enough said, last night was another good learning experience.
after another good workout in the gym.
i brace myself once again for an action-packed weekend.
2 parties per night with only sunday as a day of rest.
and with 2/3 of my graphics done, that's a lighter load on my back.

life is looking good. ALL good.
