________________________________________________________________

as hard as i try not to eat anything right after brushing my teeth in the morning.
i fail badly. this never happens when i havent got time to brush.
in fact...it is because of this reason that i thought it a valid excuse for me not to brush in the morning when i was a young girl.
thinking "i'm going to eat again soon so why WASTE time (and toothpaste) brushing teeth?"
of course now i'm no more a young darling...
sOOoo...i roll my eyes and brush for a minute and a half.

seeing that today was going to be a rare sunny day on the BBC online weather forecast.
i dug out my pinky skirt and black tights last night...
(which i got teased about today because i usually wear my skirt on top of my trousers when it's cold...so when i "got it right" today...the whole class including teacher, noticed and "rejoiced") *rolls eyes*

on the walk to college...i take a detour so that i walk in "more sun"
walking slower while i'm in the heat and faster while a HUGE tree casts its cold shadow on me.
crunching on my apple...that was nice *smiles to herself*
a natural high of life (in UK anyway)

so i happily arrive in school all psyched to get some of my art done
when i realise i left my keys at home! so i cant get to the work in my locker!
damm! *frowns slightly*
and to think i left my keys at home because i didn't want my phone to get scratched in my bag of little nothings.
the things we do for love...
erh...*eyes widen abruptly* dono where that came from.

when i walked into class on monday...
no one noticed my "tan"
this must be just me because just like my haircut.
people only noticed gradually with time.
not when it was the most obvious.
but i was pretty pleased that my "cheap tan" was mistaken for a holiday to a sunny location and also one of those machines that spray you all over like the celebs do.
and i'm NOT ashamed to say it's not genuine because it would be utterly silly of me to go out and get my skin roasted in the UV-rich england sunshine.

i woke andrea this morning to wish her happy birthday.
unfortunately i was 2hrs early for her plan of waking up at 9.
(sorry hor!!!*salutes you timidly & quickly 8 times*)
but speaking of birthdays and enforcing the same theory i have as andrea (to expect the unexpected)
just that mine's a little mutated being Expect the WORST
that's MY theory
i expect my 19th to be the "worst" yet.
my 18th was bad enough...in one sentence...no one gave a ^ except for my mom who saw me cry.
and her effort touched me...i read the note i wrote to her a while ago and it reminds me of how grateful i was that day when she made the spontaneous decision to bring me out on a late night movie (we watched Tomb Raider *rolls eyes* dont yall laugh now)
but this year? i start uni on the 20 and having my birthday on the 22 means i'm in my freshers torture week and it'll only be my first few days at uni so i'll have no friends.
so i expect to be singing a birthday song to myself again.
wishing i was rich enough to fly everyone i know from all over the globe to my room to sing with me for just 5mins.
*shrugs* no worries...i'm not sad...just bracing myself *closed smile*

the other day i heard on the radio that 2/3 of people (in UK?) have one password across all their existing accounts on the net.
which makes it a facile job for anyone to pretend to be someone else.
that thought scared me a little and at one go i changed my passwords to random words i found while looking around the science computer room. (that isn't a CLUE for you hackers out there!)
now...i find myself having to enter my password twice.
once for the old password...and again for the new one i struggle to remember myself.

shopping for skin products. i know that sounds like a taitai past time but i seem to have gotten into it at this "young" age...what can i say in my defence? i'm looking after myself! hoping to look 50 when i reach 60.
needless to say, Garnier is currently loving me and my money!

later on i'm meeting my brother in town so we can go shopping for him.
before i leave for uni and he has no more shopping advisor.
i better teach him the tips of the trade before it's too late.
i like shopping...not just for me. just SHOPPING.
i'm not obsessed, though my parents would care to differ.
but i'm just glad i'm closer to my brother now than i would be if i had spent the past 4 years in singapore.

that's one thing i love about UK.
i'm closer to all my family. sometimes the hustle and bustle of singapore life does make it difficult and the static culture a chore to give my dad a hug, pushing myself away quickly with pink cheeks and looking at the ground.
NOW, my dad has to get my brother to un-claw me from around his tummy. hence his nickname, teddy.

for now i am happy. happy that i breathe. happy that i have a fully formed body. happy that i am well. happy that i'm not dying of starvation or thirst. happy that i am saved. i live to pass this joy on to everyone else i love. *squints eyes as she smiles*

i forgave the person who "was mean to me" today.
he needs Jesus.
i feel a little BIGGER now. *beams with humble pride*
